Session 3: How do you love others in your Elderhood? (June 25) How do you love others in your Elderhood? There are many ways to pour out compassionate love. There is the love that recognizes the realities of old age with grace, humor, and perspective. There is love for our families and for our friends that lends a helping hand, shares conversations, and offers steadfast accompaniment. There is love for our communities that can be inspired by social justice, a desire to reach those at the margins, to be stewards of our planet, to ensure life for generations. These and many other forms of love can be bolstered by religious traditions and teachings which connect us to ourselves and others. These many forms of love can be supported by our relationship with God and the ways that we understand God. What are the religious and divine sources of inspiration for you to love others? What are the actions of compassionate love that you engage in for your family, your friends, your community, your world? How does reckoning with the realities of old age free you to love others? How do you love others in your Elderhood?
